Young woman laughing at the screen as she makes the most of the benefits of learning spanish online

Since the advent of the internet, learning languages online has increased in popularity. Having access to classes anywhere at any time offers convenience for many people. But choosing to learn a language via the internet does have some disadvantages unless of course your classes are with a personal teacher. Sandra Teach offers this possibility and in this article, we look at the benefits of learning Spanish online with one of our tailor-made programmes.

From the comfort of your own home

We’ll start with what we think is one of the biggest benefits of learning Spanish online – you can do so from anywhere. As I’ve seen from my own experience, students feel more relaxed and learn more quickly if they’re in a familiar environment and where better than in their own home?

I use Zoom for my teaching online so you can learn Spanish with me wherever you are. I recommend you choose a comfy spot in your own home for our lessons. I’ll be in the “Zoom zone” in my home (usually my sofa or my sunny terrace) so think of it as a home-to-home experience!

Did you know? I design an online Spanish course to suit your needs and objectives. Get in touch to find out how I can help you take your Spanish to the next level with online classes.

Learn at your own pace (and in your own time)

Choosing Spanish classes online also means you can learn at your own pace. Depending on your level and objectives, I’ll set up a learning programme for us to work through online together. We’ll schedule our Zoom classes at times to suit you and as often as I think you need them.

What do I need to learn Spanish with you online?

Just a good internet connection and a comfy place in your home.

Great to start you off (and keep you going afterwards)

Learning Spanish online is also an excellent way to make a start on the language. It gives you a taster and gets you going on the first steps. I help you start and then guide you through the basics. We build on these during every lesson as our agreed programme progresses.

Online classes also help you keep up and improve your Spanish. I always recommend that my students take online classes after an immersion course in Malaga and again, these classes are at times to suit you and as often as you need them.

Perfect intro to an immersion Spanish course

Over the years, I’ve noticed that the students who attend one of my immersion courses in Malaga get much more out of it if they’ve mastered the basics online first. Spending just a few hours learning Spanish online before you come to Malaga makes all the difference.

You arrive at the immersion course with a taster and feeling more confident about your ability. And because we have ‘met’ online several times, you know exactly what to expect. Plus, we’re already friends!

Did you know? All my immersion Spanish courses in Malaga include a pre-online course to get you ready for your stay in the city and ensure you get maximum benefit. Find out more.

You’re not alone

Although there are plenty of benefits of learning Spanish online, this method has some disadvantages. The biggest is that with many courses it’s you on your own and the computer program. While this type of course might be cheaper, it can often be lonely and demotivating.

That’s why I offer personalised online Spanish courses with me present at every lesson. I can guide you personally, help you when you get stuck, offer advice and most of all, encourage you at every step. A warm, friendly presence on screen makes all the difference when it comes to effective language learning.
